How much time off do you get from your facility?

I'll go first:
-2.5 months off in a row
-a week and a half off for Christmas/New Years
-a week off in April
-a week off in the winter

We also get every major holiday off and 13 sick days, but only 3 PTO days.

Place I'm at is asking for a one day extension. They want to prorate my monthly rate by dividing 30 days instead of business days. Wanted to know if this is odd. My current contract caps at 40/week

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

Our employee satisfaction survey is tied to our performance goals. Meaning, if we rate management badly, we cannot meet 10% of our goals which in turn affects our bonuses and raises. We asked HR but they didn’t do anything about it. Is this normal? Is this legal? If not, what else can we do about it?
