Gotta love being a school nurse!

you nailed it! best specialty there is
120 hours 😑…that don’t roll over, and it doesn’t increase no matter how long you are dedicated to the company.
Chief
wow, bummer about no rollover
We don’t get days off. You have to work 2,000 hours to get 40 hours PTO
Wow! That’s really strict.
I accrue PTO at about 5 weeks a year depending on overtime and bonus shifts. I take about 2 vacations a year and vacation slots for the coming year are plotted at the end of the year prior. I also sell back around 40 hours a year of PTO.

that's great!! what type of RN are you?
Wow!!! I get 7 holidays. And we have to use PTO to get those holidays off. Also get 2 weeks off but I am here 1 year.
They supposedly give us “extra” PTO to use for holidays. It’s at a hospital but next year moving to a new medical school that is currently being built so hoping they make changes. I heard they want to see if we can get off all week for Spring break, Christmas break, etc. and not have to use PTO but we will see. I do like the job and my team so I want to stay put. Been there almost 1 year.
Wow that's a lot!
What do you do in your time off
Chief
I travel a lot, I ski.
This year I'm going to Asia for 3 weeks. Next year, I'm working in a state park for at least a month. One year I volunteered on a flower farm in Seattle for a month. One year I went to Africa for 2 months.
I wanna work there. Unreal

It's a nice specialty
30 days PTO +9 holidays. I don’t really use them til Q3/Q4 when things slow down at work 😎
Chief
that's great!
2 weeks a year
We have to use our PTO for enforced holidays. I don’t understand it…..
I get 7.6 hours every payday so you can take days as you earn them. I’m at a brand new medical school within a hospital so I am hoping when we move in the school next year they will change that. I heard talk of not having to use PTO for holidays and they may try to get Christmas week and spring break off with pay. Hopefully!

25 days of PTO, all federal holidays and 10 caregiver days. Unlimited sick. Summer Fridays.
Unlimited sick time sounds awesome, do people actually use it or is there a lot of pushback/needing of doctors note?
You are a School Nurse!!!
That sounds nice, we get the major national holidays off plus two float holidays for whatever we want. We accumulate our PTO but I'm not sure by what amount, I also don't know if it even rolls over.
