Unless I'm really sick, I power through remotely.
I use sick time when I'm seriously sick. If it's manageable, I power through and work remotely.
If you are considering taking a sick day, take it. You have them as part of your contract, it’s not a gift the company is giving to you. You earned them. Use as many as you have each year if you need to. You also don’t get paid out for unused days if you get laid off so you leaving them on the table helps your company, nobody else.

Funny enough I actually only use my sick days when I'm not sick. I usually just power through fevers and things like that and still wfh since they're not really that bad for me. I use sick days for vacations.
