No tips but the only way is a calorie deficit which is easier to control by reducing your food intake.
I think it’s the type of food that needs to be put down—extreme calorie deficits put your body into starvation mode causing it to hold on to fat. Get rid of high fat Or processed food and eat lean meats and veggies. If you stick to 20-25g of fat a day the weight will come off
The classic knowledge on fat loss is that you need a 3,500 calorie deficit to lose 1 lbs of fat. This is actually an UNDERestimate of how big your calorie deficit needs to be, but let’s go with that.
You want to lose 5 lbs a week. That’s 17,500 calorie deficit a week (and, again, realistically it’s higher than that), which is a 2,500 calorie deficit a day.
Many people don’t even burn 2,500 calories a day. As in, you could starve for 3 weeks and still not hit that deficit.
If you’re trying to lose fat (not just water weight and muscle) and not crash your body, I’d say: no, it’s not possible to lose 15 lbs in 3 weeks.

I’m glad you said this. People suggesting workouts have no idea what they’re talking about. It’s not healthy and not really possible either.
I want it to be clear that 15lbs of fat loss is NOT possible in this time period under any normal living conditions (I.e., assuming you are not exercising 4+ hrs per day).
BCG mentioned this above, but the math on calorie deficit simply doesn’t work out.
It’s a ~52.5k calorie deficit in 21 days, which is a ~2,500 calorie deficit per day.
If you ate literally nothing, you’d likely still need to work out. Typically it’s not recommended to consume fewer than a 1,200 calories per day for any long-term period to avoid severe health risks (e.g., from malnutrition).
This means that you’d likely need to be burning ~3,700 per day. Which is likely somewhere around 1,500-2,000 above and beyond your BMR / TDEE before exercise.
It is possible to burn that much through daily activities, but is nearly impossible for an untrained or detrained individual honestly.
For example: 60min straight at an 8min/mile pace would roughly burn 1,000 calories. 90min of HIIT, with little to no breaks, would get you to the 1,500 mark. For most people, you won’t be able to actually sustain that level of output for that long; the implication is that you’d likely need anywhere from 3-5hr of medium to high intensity exercise per day.
Even if you “accomplish” that, you’d run a real risk of atrophy. And you’ll also find that your body may resist this type of weight loss program pretty heavily - you’ll be tired, you’ll get headaches, you’ll be irritable, etc.

Agreed. Only way this is happening is liposuction... or taking tapeworm pills.
Stop worrying about the scale. Mediterranean diet is great for getting you in a healthier place with food and is recommended by actual doctors. Get outside and walk or run or play with your dog/kids. Just get more movement in than you’re getting now and keep upping it every day. I like to stand up every hour or so during my work day and do a couple lunges/stretches. Drink water. Sleep.
If you live a healthy lifestyle, the scale will sort itself out.
Be Balanced. It’s a diet program, expensive but works wonders.
OMAD + Keto
If you haven't been dieting it's easy. Stop eating so much, especially carbs. Go under 50g/day carbs. You'll lose 10lbs from water weight / glycogen / less food in your guy, then you need to lose 5lbs of actual weight.
You'd then gain 10lbs back when you start eating carbs again
I would suggest GM diet. I lost 10.5 lbs the first week and 6 lbs the second with a gap of 2 weeks in between. But I was 240 lbs and what I lost would be water weight and it’s not healthy.
Healthy or people with proper wights seldom understands the agony of the overweight people. Sometimes it’s very important to shed a few in a short span of time just to fit into the situation. Specially events like marriage. “I don’t care, it’s my body” and “ignore the body shamers” does not work all the time.

General Motors? Sounds unreliable and vulnerable to economic uncertainty 😉
You would lose 5 lbs easily just through water weight. It won’t be pleasant losing the rest but anybody saying it’s malnutrition is incorrect. There’s a healthy way of doing. It’s three lbs a week. Healthy diet, a little fasting, high protein-low carb intake, with heavy cardio and you’re there.

Yes. High protein (target min is your weight in protein grams) and low carb (carbs under 50g, if you count net carbs, stay under 25). The first week I lost 10 lbs, granted it was mostly water but weight keeps falling weekly. I ate broiled chicken, 1-2 cups of green vegetables, Greek yogurt, protein shakes, fish, other lean meats/nuts to get to my daily protein goals, I always felt full…I lost a lot of weight and muscle mass stayed the same (supposedly protein helps with that). Figure out BMR and subtract 500, that should be your net calories for the day (doesn’t mean you reduce food by 500, it could mean you reduce food by 250, and then burn 250 in exercise, which is a 30-45 min walk). It’s not that hard if you keep consistent.

You do not have to fast or skip meals to lose weight. What you feed your body matters the most.
"warrior diet", which is Keto + OMAD (one meal a day)
You'll lose a good 5-10 lbs just in water weight within a week, mind you, you'll regain that water weight when going back to a normal diet. But you'll still burn fat very quickly
Liposuction

Not a good quick fix. Besides the fact that it would take longer than 3 weeks to get an appointment with any reputable surgeon, the swelling and bruising takes a minimum of 4 weeks to really start dissipating.
This is very doable but not super easy. Avoid all the diets, fasting, and other bs. Make your food at home, no alcohol, get 7-8 hours of sleep per night, drink lots of water, kick up the cardio, and lift heavy. In the long term this would be very difficult to sustain but for 3 weeks it’s more of a challenge than a lifestyle change (IMO much easier to accomplish).
@ OP, just a heads up: Keto is great but you’ll gain most of the weight back once you go off it and your body readjusts. Just monitor calories in / calories out and do intermittent fasting and workout a bunch
Keto. It works for me
I lost over 100 pounds in the course of the last 2 years. Honestly, 80% of the weight loss was keto diet + intermittent fasting. One meal a day if you can. Black tea helps tamper appetite. That 15 pounds is very much possible
Having said that don’t rush weight loss. The loose skin looks god awful. I was lucky to not get it but I know people who were inspired by my accomplishment but ended up with that issue.
Lost 30 Lbs in 28 days doing paleo and working out 2x per day - one cardio and one lifting, and I wasn’t too out of shape to begin with. Had more energy after the first week in general as well.
Your goal is very achievable if you commit - water, no sugar, protein, veggies, workout.
900 calories a day- all protein, vegetables and fruits. Tons of water. I’ve got 20 left and my goal is June :)
Having to cook myself made me loose. Try that 😂

How'd it go?
Hit training, fasting, strict diet and you should be able to come close to it.
Hiit. Autocorrect.
Insane advice in this thread. Find out your BMR, TDEE, and then eat at an appropriate calorie deficit. Workout to burn additional calories. Don’t forget to leave fats in and get protein - but it is easy to forget fats while doing CICO. Fasting and keto are just branded ways of creating deficits. Watch out for the size of your deficit as fast weight loss can give you gallstones so make sure to give your doctor a heads up...if you are a woman, don’t eat below 1200 calories a day...
