Hi everyone, I'm comparing two offers from Accenture and Cognizant. Could you help me figure out some of these questions: 1. At 5 YOE, what kind of package can I expect? Current offers: Accenture (12LPA fixed, 2.5L variable), Cognizant (14.3LPA fixed, 45K variable) 2. Nature of work - What kind of work can I expect from these companies? 3. would I get the opp to use any authoring Tools? 4. Work life balance - which is better? 5. Increments - avg % hike? 6. Culture - which is better?

You will probably date again and possibly re-marry. The chances of an older female finding that are few and far between. She devoted her life to raising your kids instead of building a steady career. How is 50% not fair?
"Now, a woman can climb the corp ladder quicker than their male counterpart"....you are sorely mistaken and you are stuck in the 1950's....wake up, equality is a fight that we still fight every day, in many many ways - including fair and equal pay for women. Also, marriage is a partnership - it's not your money or hers, it is a partnership.
KPMG- are you a recently divorced woman? Sounds like it
There is no way around the 50% unless you sign a prenuptial agreement. You bought the kids??
OP - the plot thickens... If kids are not hers there ain't no way in hell she's getting 50%. Lawyer up and fight her.
Not easy to find a young hot smart and ambitious wife man, gotta cut somewhere... give OP a break :)
What's frustrating is that 50% of the assets was offered up front in the first place. And she wants more. Thank god all the kids are grown, so no child support!
I bet her friends are in her ear telling her to grab as much as she can
OP you should cut everything in your house in half and give it to her
Ugh. This sounds horrible. If my husband and I get a divorce I don't want shit. Buh bye!
KPMG - she wants more than 50%
Get a good lawyer...I feel like there's a case for keeping it 50% but chances of less without her freely agreeing is not going to happen without a prenuptial
Bend over and take it up the @ss. Two friends of mine are going through same.
And no, not recently divorced. Never married. When I do get married, I'll make sure he has a job so we are BOTH working. That should be the standard in 2016 guys
So OP, are you just a huge douche or do you just pick shitty spouses
Big whoop. You make plenty
KPMG - so if she does end up remarried should she be forced to pay back everything? Your premise doesn't hold water. Also, plenty of women work and raise families. The two are not mutually exclusive, ok?
I really don't want to speak ill of her (as frustrated as I am), but I feel like she's spent a lot of marital money on frivolous things. And she did not raise the kids. They were raised by their actual mother.
Doesn't it vary by state? But yeah get a good lawyer. Never thought I would quote Kanye West but a prenup "it's something that you need to have 'cause when leave your ass she gonna leave with half"
PRENUP
