Trying to be really understanding about coworkers with no children feeling stressed during the holiday season, but it's hard not to ask if they'd prefer to go home to my sick kid, frustrated spouse and dirty house instead of their empty apartment where they have a flat screen TV and a beer waiting. How do you keep sane?

Anyone start a new relationship before business school started? How did it work out?

I am wanting to start the adoption process. I reached out to pathways to parenthood for information first from my personal email. I got a response within 30 min asking me to email them back from my work email. I did so and it has now been 3 days with no response. Is there any other way of contacting them?

Why do we always tell people “Be the best version of yourself before starting a relationship?”
I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.

I moved to Philly from Chicago burbs for my current job in 2017. Love working for this company. They believe in employee growth and put in their time effort and money behind their current employees. 2020 has been though, I still have my job but have never missed my family this much. Since we’ve been working from home, I’ve stayed with family for couple of months. Now I don’t feel like living away from them. Just confused between family and career. Any advice?

A long post: seeking some perspective. My husband of 2 years that I’ve been in a relationship with for more than 8 years just woke up one day and told me that he’s unhappy in our relationship. I’m devastated because he’s never expressed anything like this in the 8 years. He’s been super supportive and loving, even when we were in a long distance relationship. I give massive kudos to all the parents out there juggling work and home life. But it’s starting to feel like I pulled the short stick by not having a kid. Really struggling to pick up all of the slack from all of the colleagues that do have kids and feel like the expectation is that parents should turn off while the rest are working from 7am - 2am everyday to make up for it.

Anyone else juggling having kids at home during the winter break and trying to work from home around your SO (who is also working from home). This is super weird but I feel like I can’t relate easily to people. Hear me out - I moved and lived in different continents, countries every 5 years or so until now… I feel like I’m an outlier and my life is super different from anyone else’s. I have some friends I’ve met at each stage of my life, but it’s been temporary. I feel like I’m always going in a different direction than others. It makes it difficult to have a stable life and close friends..

Happy wife happy life is a really toxic saying. I’m just shocked how this has become the standard saying for men in relationships. I have friends of mine saying this all the time, and I have just thought it’s so cringe and always want to say my thoughts on it but always decide to hold back. However, imagine the saying reversed - happy husband happy life - that would lead to all kinds of uproar. To me happy wife happy life means I need to sacrifice my wants and needs to make my wife happy.

Just completed my last shift in the ICU. I'm glad to be shifting back to the Maternatity ward. It was exhausting, and emotionally draining working with such sick patients. I know the work we did made a big difference, but I'm glad to go back to my favorite role!

Husband and I have been TTC for almost a year. His semen analysis came back all normal with the exception of morphology at 1% (Kruger Strict criteria). Anyone have insights into morphology and it’s impacts on fertility? From what I’ve read and after talking to our fertility specialist morphology seems subjective.
