I am negotiating with a company for a senior IT role but will start lower and move up quickly, they say. They won't disclose benefits, medical costs, vacation days, or salary upfront. They want me and say they'll go up on pay, but details are vague and I can't find info online (small MSP). I love the company's direction and it's 10 min from home, but I'm conflicted. Any advice?

Those are all huge red flags!

like

The companies knows your knowledge, skills, and experience and choosing to low ball you. They will pay you at a junior rate for senior work. Companied only treat you the way you allow.

like

Agree with all of the above. Not worth it. Keep them warm though while you pursue other offers.

like

The fact they won’t disclose is a huge red flag.

like

Agreed to everything, say yes, so they give you the straight answers that you need to make decision and if you like what they have to say and the offer then go for it and if not weigh your options and decide if your still willing to really accept the role or not.

walk away.... if they aren't honest upfront, they sure as heck won't be once you are working for them and are dependent on the paycheck.

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?
