Mindfulness exercises really helped me. The Calm app is covered through my companies insurance and I use it in the morning and at the evening to talk me down.
ChatGPT has really helped. I use the voice to text feature to just kind of rant at it and it helps me get everything out. It’s actually been pretty helpful and helping me reframe my thinking around my anxieties as well. So if you don’t like therapist that might be a route to go, even though it technically keeps saying it’s not supposed to be used for it. ”hey ChatGPT, here’s what I am worried about today….” Then it usually says something nice but for a generic and then I ask it tell me figure out which one of my anxieties is actionable. And then I ask to come up with an action plan for the next day or week or several weeks. I don’t actually follow through with everything but it’s just really nice to get it out there and have a plan and I feel I’m not out here floating by myself with my problems. At the same time I’m not burdening any of my friends or family.

I hate that you went through that, I loathed that they did that to people during COVID. Condolences to you & I wish you well & hope you come out of it soon.
Thank you for taking the time to reply and for your sympathy. I think travel would get me in a different headspace; I will try that. I may also try a cognitive hypnotherapy session if I can afford it. That helped me once before.
OP do you take any medications? I know most people are against them but for me, medication is the only thing that worked and anytime I have gotten off of it I get severly depressed again. I am really sorry to hear that you are feelign this way. Hang in there.
Get a new psychologist.
