Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

How is the onvoarding process at EY GDS
Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?

Update resume, start looking
Got laid off - ended up with a better paying job (by a lot), 8 months severance, 2 months of double salary, and a 6 month break. Sometimes it can be the best thing to ever happen to you. Use it as an oportunity to think about what you actually want to do.
I'm pretty sure OP isn't proud of this but more so looking for advice
Why do you feel this way?
Why do you say that? Did you get an ominous calendar invite?
If it actually happens, post a burner and I'll get you a referral in with us.
What kind of severance does Deloitte offer?
How can you feel like that? It's not something to be proud of, but we do an excellent job of hiding bad news internally.
What's ur YE rating?
Update resume, fix what got you laid off, bounce back.
@OP - interview at another firm. Accenture, EY, PwC, Capgemini are all easy to get into, especially with Deloitte on your resume.
Sorry OP. Gone through a few periods where I felt like that but survived. Got through them by thinking about what I really might want to do, but was afraid to give up the security of a steady paycheck. Felt like I was more in control, and if it were to happen, I'd be making a positive change. Good luck.
OP- you will be fine. Start looking at different job ops so you have a "feel" for what is out there.
PwC2 I wish I could get fired like that
Sorry OP, I wonder if there will be another round of layoffs than aren't performance related like it was last year. This shouldn't become a new annual normal... keep us posted and best of luck! With the right character and effort you'll be set up for success anywhere u go!
I got a poor YE review and it looks like I'm being abruptly rolled off my project
Keep us updated!
Pwc2 8 months? How long were you at your precious firm? Also consulting?
