Download the AD job description from HR and then on next review show examples how you have achieved the roles and responsibilities from it
1) Have you had check ins with your manager about clearly defining what steps need to be taken to advance to Director level? If so, start with accomplishments tied to those…if not, have that conversation ASAP and come prepared with initial goals that you’ve established that will get you there.
2) look at an AD job description for your organization and map your work/responsibilities/accomplishments to those
3) if your agency has success metrics or annual review criteria by position, show how you’re over-performing as a Sup against Sup review criteria and how you’re meeting/exceeding Director review criteria.
Good luck 👍
I had the opposite problem, I was an AD but did the job of AS, AM, AC, etc. including my own and they wouldn’t hire other accounts ppl.
I’d recommend grabbing a hold of a JD for an AD at your job and mentioning concrete examples of you doing each of the requirements and booking a meeting w your boss to negotiate a raise and promotion or decreasing your responsibilities and hiring an AD.
