I had applied for an internal job opening that showed me to be a strong match back on Jan. 19. 2026. I received the "We have decided to move forward with other candidates" email on March 4, 2026 without an interview. And I noticed this morning that the same position I had applied for was reposted on Friday (March 13) under the same Req number, so I can't reapply. Stuff like this is why I am considering looking outside of Northrop Grumman.

My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

I have an accounting degree and am looking for something where I spend most of my time using excel. Surprisingly, audit —at least at my company— doesn’t really do that. Any suggestions would be helpful.
