You can't go wrong with a crisp white shirt and a blazer with jeans and dress shoes. I wouldn't ding anyone for being over dressed, but certainly would for being under.
Tux top, cummerbund, black jeans, sneakers
Dark / black denim is fine and a button down - I’m assuming you’re a guy because you said suit
strategy ? no jeans. period. not unless you are a creative.
dress shirt. dress pants. blazer. tie optional. every guy should own a navy blazer.
tuxedo t-shirt or GTFO
VP 1 - Not sure where you work, but nice jeans for a planner is perfectly fine. He’s not interviewing to be a suit. Blazer...sure, if you want. But dressy jeans and an Oxford are perfectly acceptable
Dress however you normally do and however you feel comfortable
It’s impossible to answer this without knowing
- type of agency (media, PR or creative?)
- city
- culture (is it a Mad Men era dinosaur like a JWT or a sexy hot shop ?)
- your personal style. (Are you a hip leather jacket type or a prep school blazer guy? A hypebeast with a sneaker fetish, a chic geek with a daily bowtie fetish, or a stylish stoner with a funny sock fetish?)
Thank you, and yes I’m a guy. Is a blazer too much? I don’t plan on wearing a tie.
That’s the most yes
I wouldn't even do blazer, might be a bit much. Black button up shirt is usually all you need.
I’d say slacks with no blazer or dark jeans with a blazer. Nice white button down
First interview at the agency, blazer is good. Take stock of the vibe of the place and dress accordingly second round if it's more casual than that. I agree you should be comfortable however people who don't even manage to present well at the start of an interview take that much longer to get the interview on track. First impressions are just as much about what the interviewer was expecting as what you brought into the room.
Mesh tank top, booty shorts and a studded collar that reads DADDY. Assuming you’re a dude, of course.
I’ve always done navy blazer, dress shirt, chinos. Not too fussy and not to under dressed.
Collared shirt, dark jeans and nice shoes has always been fine for me.
