I have an interview scheduled for an internal Sr. FP&A position. I have a high-level understanding of what FP&A does (since I work with them daily), but I don’t really know the day-to-day tasks. I’m interviewing with a few directors to discuss FP&A processes, team fit, business partnering and analysis. As I’ve never worked in corporate finance, I have no idea what FP&A process entails.

Any tips on how to prepare for that discussion?

Does Google do soft rejections? I did not get a role but said overall feedback was positive and she would look for other roles..others have reported same.

I am having doubts regarding shifts in project and job role in Societe General.Can I ask these questions to HR or it will lead to closure of my candidature as they might feel he is having issues with this?

Made it to the on-site round for a Sales S&O interview. However, both of the interviewers are Managing Directors of Sales. I thought they would be other S&O managers. How would this affect interview questions (e.g would GCA case studies be sales focused?) how can I best prepare for this given a lack of a sales background.

I had very positive feedback on my interviews for a S&O role but the team hired someone internally. If I interview again for a differenr role, would I have to do all the interviews again or can I use some of the scores from previous interviews. I understand doing RRK again makes sense but what about GCA, googlyness or leadership . Thank you

Went for a pre-employment drug test yesterday. They never asked me if I was on any medications. I had to ask them and was told "oh yeah, just put any you may think make a difference in this text box." I put Xanax, Flexeril, and gabapentin. All of which are prescribed and used as directed. Now I'm terrified that I should have put ALL my meds, to including my psych meds. I've been sober over 12 years and never touched drugs (just booze) but I'm having a full blown panic attack.

Is it possible to switch path from tax associate to data analysis?

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.
