Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Its tough to do so when applying from the outside. A first move to management is best internally. It sounds like you have only worked in smaller places where they needed an individual contributor vs layers of management. It may make sense for you to move to a larger company where there is opportunity to move up or at least move laterally in hopes of more opportunity to move upwards. Grow a little, get some management experience and then others will be more open to hiring you as a manager.
The last company and current are financial institutions. Its just that the analytics department I am hired in does not have manager positions. I will try moving laterally but will have to wait till next year as there’s hiring freeze right now. Thanks for the advice!
