Start with walking. Walking is like beer. Nobody likes it the first couple of times.
Try listening to podcasts or doing calls with family / friends while on a walk.
I’d suggest surrounding yourself with other people who can motivate you towards getting fit and moving. Perhaps a group fitness class or program.

Get your T levels checked at the VA as well. Low T is super common in vets and a lot of the above can be from sedentary lifestyle but also symptoms of Low T.
I was going to recommend this. TBI impacts your hormones long term. You probably won't get prescribed by the VA (I didn't with low 200 T) but it's covered labs and enough to tell you to go find help elsewhere.
I’m not a gym person myself, but I like Orangetheory as it’s in a group setting and you can go at your own pace. I would try to find an adult meet up or friends group on Facebook in your area and see if you hit it off with the folks there.

This is so hard! I was experiencing the same recently. Make sure you aren’t taking any substances that are helping drain your energy. I had to take a hard look at my alcohol and weed consumption and decided to cut them out to increase my energy. From there I found a bit more for my peloton rides. Walking is a great way start! Best of luck to you! You’ve got this!!!!

Fully aware, as I had to pass a drug test upon my hire.
Fifty year old shift worker here. Totally understand the lack of energy. Definitely get your T levels checked. A word of caution though. Injectable testosterone can increase your blood pressure. On a side note, look into a local hiking group or take up “Rucking” if there’s a group near you. There are several alternatives to the traditional gym rat experience. You may enjoy cross fit or MMA. I’ve never been a gym fan till my 49th Bday. Now I’m physically stronger than I was in my twenties. Still working on trading my keg for a six pack.
So I’m still active for another 212 days till retirement (but who’s counting) and I’ve noticed myself having the same issues as you. I came recruiting, so my job is far more sedentary than when I was on a ship, weight gain, exhaustion, not really wanting to do anything. I recently got tested and my testosterone is super low and my dr believes that could be playing a big part into most of the issues I mentioned. Talk to the doc and get blood work to check that. If nothing else, it can go towards your disability claim if it is low.
I feel you brother. I am recently separated from my ex and having a hard time living by myself as a 40 years old man. Outside of work I feel like I have nothing to do so I just end up being lazy all the time.
What's your purpose in life? Why do you get up in the morning and do these things? Without a purpose driving your day, you won't find the motivation to persist through the first sign of friction. You're at a point of major transition, both out of the military but also in life at 40+.
I went through a similar struggle and found once I recentered and defined my purpose, everything else became easy. The military always forced purpose on us, for better or worse, so we aren't always skilled in doing it for ourselves as veterans.
If you like Martial arts I only hear awesome things about BJJ. You could also walk or join hiking groups on meetup
I joined a rec soccer league to get back in shape. Never played soccer before then. Was put on a free agent team. Been playing once a week for the last 4 years.
get a trainer bro, makes all the difference
I'm not a gym person myself or a big fan of working out but I tried crossfit and loved it. It's not the typical gym scene and for the duration you are just focused on the workout. It's also a good way to socialize and meet people. Some places usually offer a free class. Check it out or any kind of bootcamp and see if it helps.
Check out the irreverent warriors group. They do hikes with lots of veterans across the country to raise awareness for veteran suicide. Super solid group and often times builds solid friendship and groups to do stuff with outside of their hikes
