I have been working in retail for about 8 years and I enjoy working with customers/guests. I like to do things quick and efficiently as possible.

Every guest i interacted with says the same things.

"You're are a great worker. They should make you a manager one day."

If I climb a latter and my worker needs help, I'll jump off of it to go assist them. I will never let my team sink alone. I will sink with them.

Every guest and associates is treated with respect.

I'm just different that's all.

Any recommendations for really good sound machines to completely block out loud noise? I live in the North End and am so angry…loud drunk assholes yelled in the street last night and woke me up (even with my loud AC on which typically blocks out most noise) and it took me forever to fall back asleep and sleep quality was terrible because I was on edge.

Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. I regularly interface with leadership internally and at the client. But, I am aligned to the “Operations” capability and make the least of my teammates who perform seemingly identical work but are aligned to “Strategy and Consulting.” I worry I’m on a career path to being paid the least wherever I go, because Operations is in my title and background.

I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? How will this look for my career development? Curious about the standard perception of Sales Executive from a seniority perspective. Where does this land on the sales roles hierarchy? For context, it’s a professional services firm, I’ve been there 3+years, and they gave a Sales Executive title to someone who just started 5mo ago.

My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. Should she get certifications to give her a shot at adtech?Too late?
