So glad I found this bowl
Quick qstn - I'm receiving HRA of 24075 from my employer but I would like dhow the rent paid as 96k p.a (while filing ITR). Even if I do so, I was only able to get exemption of 24075 from gross. Checking if we can speak to payroll department to increase Actual HRA since I'm actually paying more rent than compared. Will I be able to do so ?Deloitte Newco EY Accenture Genpact KPMG

Check Indeed. Also, shoot me a PM with your practice areas and I’ll see what I can find. Born and raised in NC and all my contacts are still there and active. Let me know!
My firm is hiring! Feel free to PM me.
What’s your practice area preference? I may be able to help at my firm. Pm me.
I did the same thing coming from Houston about a year and a half ago. I think the biggest thing is showing them that you want to be in Charlotte long-term/that you’re not a flight risk. I went out of my way in a lot of interviews to emphasize the commitment to Charlotte and I think it helped. Also, as banal this sounds, you just have to keep putting yourself out there and networking aggressively. It took several coffees, lunches, etc. but paid off.
There are a ton of recruiters on here who I am sure would love to help! Scout some out and DM them! Good luck! Stick with it.
Feel free to pm as well.

What area of law and what type of firm are you looking for (eg, “biglaw”)?
There are some national firms with charlotte offices but I get the vibe you might have a better experience with a well-respected (but not tiny) regional firm.
