I lead the LGBTQIA inclusion group at my office location, but I need to confess that each time I need to write this acronym in official communications I put it into Google to ensure I've got the letters in the correct order. Is that bad?

Lots of right wing hysteria about liberals trying to engineer equality of outcome to correct sexual/racial inequities (in higher ed, for example). I think we all want socioeconomic, gender and racial barriers to opportunities to be addressed, but no significant number of people really believe in equality of outcome right? This is just a straw man argument.

The problem with diversity is they focus on a quota rather than changing the culture of marginalized groups in the office. So often people speak over me, take credit for my ideas... and it's accepted.

Been for a company for over 2years. The executive team is very much a boy's club. There are a few women in management roles but zero ethnicity diversity there. I raised my concern to HR in feb. And they are just now deciding to do something about it. They want me (white female) to put together a diversity committee. Any suggestions on how to go about it? How to attract volunteers to the committee? I want to make sure I get the right people involved in this, to push for changes.

He asked me out to go rock climbing one-on-one after we were texting for a while and I acted awkwardly when we went because I didn’t know if it was a date (nothing was explicitly said). Woke up from a dream where my grandma had passed away before my grandpa and was trying to grapple with his medical care. Ended up having to sell their home and put him in a home because I couldn't get any help from my family.

My managers/partners think that I love my job because I am a top performer and have always had very good work ethic, but the truth is that I hate what I do and have developed severe anxiety working in PA for over 2 years.

Preparing for my final round case interview and I’ve realized that whereas prior to the first round I was pretty comfortable with casing, now I’m less and less so since I’m increasingly anxious that I could not come up with the right buckets. I’m also doing more untraditional cases at times which makes me feel like I’m not performing that well. Has anyone experienced similar things? How did you cope with it/What’s your advice? Happy wife happy life is a really toxic saying. I’m just shocked how this has become the standard saying for men in relationships. I have friends of mine saying this all the time, and I have just thought it’s so cringe and always want to say my thoughts on it but always decide to hold back. However, imagine the saying reversed - happy husband happy life - that would lead to all kinds of uproar. To me happy wife happy life means I need to sacrifice my wants and needs to make my wife happy.
