I live in a rural town and new to remote job interviewing. I’ve always gotten my jobs face to face. Can anyone tell me, is it normal to have the interviewer tell you that they are going to send you a check for equipment, you buy it from a pacific company and keep $150 for a bobas sign up ? I understand that companies provide the equipment, but is it done this way? I haven’t filled out any paperwork or a background hasn’t been done. Is this a scam?

Seems very very suspicious.

Definitely NOT normal and a huge red flag. I'd steer clear if I were you.

Woah. This is unusual. You might as well reconsider your decision.

This is a common scam. If you google it you will see what I am talking about. Do not have them send you a check or give them any of your info.

Hey everyone! I’m interviewing for an HR Generalist role at a Fintech company, this will be their first HR hire and will be reporting to the CFO. I got invited to a second round interview to meet the team to ensure that it’s a good culture fit. I would love to know any thoughts on what I should ask or do to ensure that I am great fit. I left a good impression on the CFO but would to see what else so can do when meeting with the team since it’ll be a 2.5 hour meet up. I’m really excited!

Hi Fishes,

I got interviewed at infosys two days back.
When can I expect to hear back from them.
Also all the questions that were asked to me were written coding questions(Write block of code) none were verbal.I could write all answers but none was 100% correct.

At last I asked the interviewer about feedback as in where was I wrong. He said at couple of places and he explained me where was I wrong.

Do you all think I will be rejected?

Interviewed for Meta exactly 2 weeks ago today. Contacted the recruiter last Tuesday and they said they were waiting to hear back from the hiring manager to discuss the interview results. Anyone that interviewed or gotten a job with Meta how did it take from the onsite to get your decision? Since I had to reach out to the recruiter and haven't heard anything since I assume they're interested in another candidate.

Hi Fish,

I have attended an interview with Airbus recently and have passed the technical round. They said the next HR round is expected to be after 9th of August. What should be the salary expectations?

I am currently drawing 12.1 LPA form Accenture with 6 yr exp - 10Lakhs is fixed and rest is variable pay which they never pay. When I see on Quora & Linkedin people are getting 40LPA with same experience in other product companies. What to discus? How much to ask without risking the job offer?

Hi folks... What is the interview process for lateral hire in Airbus? How many rounds will be there and within how many days the feedback in given?

Literally all of my LinkedIn connections are recruiters lmao

Fellow enterprise tech sales fish, I’m interested to hear your perspective. I’ve been in a rut lately and seriously considering leaving sales. I think it’s primarily fueled by one thing:
After a 6 mo cycle I closed a large deal (4x the average deal size) prior to receiving delayed 2022 comp plans. The deal counts as a 2022 deal. On last years comp plan it would’ve paid out at 10%. This year it pays out at a measly 4%.

How do you/have you navigated your way through and out of these situations?

like

My company recently changed my commission plan by capping half of our variable payout, resulting in the sales reps making roughly 30% less on commission checks when going over quota. Obviously this has crushed spirits, and I’ve lost any motivation to crush quota. How do I stay motivated ? Or is it time to find a new job?

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?
