I need to be out of my DFW area house by the first week of December- my choices are narrowed to closing first week of November and leasing it back at $100 per day (which totals slightly less than the mortgage payment), or wait until Dec 1 to close but risk the buyer backing out if the market tanks (debt ceiling, US defaults, etc. ). What would you do in my shoes?

I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. Got news that my house closing may have to be moved due to a delay in the sale of my home. My partner’s income was excluded in the DI ratio, but if it were included we’d be well under the % threshold and can be approved to close on time regardless of the sale of my house. However our mortgage company’s underwriting team has been painfully slow in confirming if her income qualifies. She’s been at her new job 1 month after a year off. Anyone with underwriting experience have insight?
