I often ask this question to myself. Am I wasting time being an introvert in a big 4 consulting firm. Can I ever become a partner being an introvert ? I am great at what I do / delivering projects. But I suck at maintaining relationships.

Do you think getting SQL/Python experience is worth the extra time for financial analyst roles coming from Big 4 tax consulting? I would love to hear any advice for shifting towards the financial modeling path from accounting. Thanks!

Any one make a move from fund admin after big 4 assurance and then was able to make a pivot to a PE fund accounting team? I am considering moving to a fund admin now. Have 9+ years of big four experience. Worried that I can get stuck in fund admin. I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

Potentially at an all time low - personally, professionally and emotionally. I have to believe that life’s inflection points happen for a reason. There’s a bigger lesson for me around this corner...

Does anyone else have “email social anxiety”? Not with writing emails that have to do with content/work I did, but when I’m “just checking in” and doing vaguely unsaid social things I’ve never understood well.
I feel super awkward and read too into things, it takes me 30+ min for a simple friendly email to a manager or above and I get worked up about it.
