Publicis. No brainer. WPP is a sinking ship.
I’m about to switch to WPP lol Publicis was chaotic af
FYI: Unlimited PTO isn’t superior though. They do that so they don’t have to pay out for unused vacation days when they lay you off.
I’d still go w/ Publicis though no question
WPP lost a ton of money last quarter and isn’t looking good. It wouldn’t shock me if they’re staffing up to make themselves look “healthier”for an acquisition. Which like IPG peeps, you’ll find yourself on the street w/in 18 months
Check your employee handbook about paying out vacation days. The latest from Omnicom does NOT pay out for unused days. So unlimited PTO vs 2 weeks is not a decider in my books
Publicis for sure.
If 5K is the only obstacle to making your decision break down how much difference that makes by paycheck after taxes, etc. Then ask yourself if that amount is a real reason to choose a job that you feel is inferior to the other offer.
It’s a dice roll… my experience at Publicis (Lexus) was awesome until it wasnt… realized I’d really been hired as a Director of Post replacement and not the Senior Editor as I was titled. Kinda lame move by a longtime colleague for the bait & switch… he was hoping to get the bump up to ACD. Dir of Post is a role measured by degree of failure - there’s no victory to be had - you will never go to your boss and say, “all the editors are happy and ahead of schedule, assets all came in on schedule so no OT needed, the out of date hardware isn’t slowing the process, and by God the $150 we saved only buying one license of that AEFX plugin - savvy move cost control dept - now we got some assistant babysitting renders sucking up OT on the one system with said plugin. Saved $150 to spend 100/hr in OT.
I know WPP is troubled, but Publicis prides itself on process over produc, hire slow / fire fast)- just go for the fastest money.
