Publicis. No brainer. WPP is a sinking ship.
I’m about to switch to WPP lol Publicis was chaotic af
FYI: Unlimited PTO isn’t superior though. They do that so they don’t have to pay out for unused vacation days when they lay you off.
I’d still go w/ Publicis though no question
WPP lost a ton of money last quarter and isn’t looking good. It wouldn’t shock me if they’re staffing up to make themselves look “healthier”for an acquisition. Which like IPG peeps, you’ll find yourself on the street w/in 18 months
Check your employee handbook about paying out vacation days. The latest from Omnicom does NOT pay out for unused days. So unlimited PTO vs 2 weeks is not a decider in my books
Publicis looks like the best option rn. I’ve worked at OMG and they kinda sucked in comparison to Publicis as a holding group. My team is very good with the flex PTO too we all take a lot of time off
PUBLICIS!! I’ve worked at both and Publicis is superior in almost every way.
I made a switch last year from Publicis to WPP... regretting it for sure.
Publicis will probably purchase WPP meeting massive layoffs at both holding companies. Just like Omnicom and IPG right now. You can’t avoid layoffs as this industry convulses and contracts. So take the job that doesn’t drive you crazy, that makes you feel respected and gives you work you enjoy. And clearly a $5000 salary difference after taxes means nothing but don’t prognosticate about the future. Nobody knows anything
No, publicis will not. They will hire people that own client relationships and take client. Why would they buy WPP?
Go to where you’ll make the best work with the best people. I can’t imagine wanting to be at a holding company long term. Set yourself up for future success rather than immediate comfort.
This is a no-brainer.
WPP is getting a lot of bad press, not doing well. that matters.
Publicis. Not because I'm bias but take it from someone who's worked at both. I still work at Publicis and I love it here.. but it really depends on the account and your team.
That $5K means nothing, if you hate your job ahah
Look at a graph of the WPP stock price over the last 1, 3 and 5 years. Take the WPP job at your own peril.
Publicis, no question. You’ll never notice the $5K difference in a paycheck. WPP is going to get bought out by Accenture and then come more layoffs.
Neither! WPP brings uncertainty, PUBLICIS is toxic environment.
Just to level set, I will tell you, I have not has a full week off and it's almost September. There is no such things as unlimited PTO at Publicis. It's not real, there is no one to cover for you.
Consider this...

I work at publicis and it may differ agency to agency but my team is really good about letting us use the unlimited pto I’ve already taken 16 days this year

Go for the Pubes.
Both shit shows but for different reasons. Publicis may have more job security
Publicia groupe!! Which company in the group ?
WPP matched my initial $$ requested and I’m going with them. It’s a lot “easier” to turn on my benefits and not skip a beat. I’m hoping nobody is coming in 4 days a week so then I can just go back to 1-2 days. Either way I gotta figure out a way out of this agency life before I get pushed out again.
Congrats! Also, WPP might be close to rock bottom so maybe you’ll be riding the rebound.

I mean, what are we talking, an extra $80 bucks a week? Take the better everything else.
WPP is sinking
