I recently got an offer for almost double my current salary. A tech startup wants me to join the team and handle a few select balance sheet items as part of their fairly large accounting department… the only thing is I’m worried I’ll be pigeonholing myself. Should I be okay with transitioning as an auditor to a specialized accountant like that? What happens if I want to leave in a few years but only have experience with a few financial statement line items?
