Venting :: I have this cousin who thinks she can just show up without calling or asking? She was unpleasant, criticised me for not cooking enough despite the fact that there were so many groceries close by, complained about me waking up at 8 am and how she hates my dogs and wish to strangle them, last time she stayed over. When pushing for a tier promotion (level 2 to level 3), is there a best way to also say what I want to be paid? Or do I just accept the pay increase that the promotion brings and wait until an annual review to negotiate a new salary? The requirements for the level 3 include 4 YoE, with 6 YoE preferred. I’ll have 5 when I push for the promotion, so I’d want more than the base level of pay in the range.

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. My SO lied about the scar on his fist. I never ask about the story behind it but he initiated the conversation and said it was from the boxing club. Now it turns out that it’s the result of street fighting . It’s a small thing but I feel very uncomfortable about it. I’m not sure if I’m overthinking or if this is a major red flag that shows his personality.

My career goal isn’t to make it to MBB or a unicorn or FAANG. It’s to feel fulfilled and challenged as I progress. I can’t be the only one that isn’t title or company chasing.

I find that I am much more ambitious regarding my career than my friends. I work a corporate job, have a consulting business, and I’m getting my masters degrees.

My wife is a great mother. She, however, is not very physically affectionate and always has a million excuses. I crave physical affection both in the bedroom and in general.
