I saw this reference today from the Southwest CEO so I will use it. And i was close enough on 9/11 to be covered in dust. If we let it, coronavirus will kill the economy. Don’t let that happen.

How do we not let that happen 🥴

I agree but I think that because China originally failed to tell the truth and also properly contain it, we might be seeing a fall/beginning of a recession (I would hate for this to be true, but the recent news of spreading cases and new cases is telling).

I lived in NY during 9/11 and I continued to go out and travel for the reasons you cite.

But it’s not really a great analogy. My traveling back then didn’t pose any risk to others by spreading a disease.

Ever since 9/11, we’ve let fear rule. That’s how we got the surveillance and the TSA and all this crap; now we’re just living through another crisis, with the normal reaction to be fear, amplified through social media (just look at this app).

I have a third round interview this Thursday, but after I sent my availability, I booked a flight for work that is causing a problem. The interview ended up scheduled for 3:30-4:15, and I'm supposed to be on a 5pm flight out of LGA. Is there a reliably quiet place at LGA to do the interview (I don't have lounge access)? Would it be a bad idea to say my availability changed and I can't do that time slot anymore? Or should I cancel / rebook my flight to later at night?

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM.
