It's lousy to lose your job, especially over workplace drama. I'd suggest learning a valuable lesson from it, that sometimes it's better to just let things go. It's good to be assertive, but there's a time for that and a time to just let things calm down.
Absolutely right.
If I get fired and she didn’t I’m getting my unemployment
I hear that. It's hard to believe that people can be bullies as adults.
You gotta be professional and complete your job tasks no matter what. Sometimes you gotta let go of your ego
Did HR even bother to ask your side of the story?
I would apply for unemployment and use her not getting fired to get it they had no proof to use to fire you. If thee is ever another time I would write notes with dates and times of when it happens so you can use it to prove your side of the story
The biggest word that stuck out is entitlement. It says it all and means everything to them. You don’t want to work for that company, they did you the biggest favor.
Wait what?!?!? What did HR have to say about it? It seems like if this was the first time anything like this has happened then they would have written you up or given you a verbal warning. I would definitely be fighting that or atleast getting unemployment if I were you. I am so sorry that happened
