Rising Star
I’ve been going in person this whole time. No mask. But I don’t live under a rock like a lot of people these days.

What’s so deloitte about that? Needing a therapist? Touché P1 😂
Where are all you people who go in person??! I’m in SF and can’t find anyone! I really need to go but I don’t want to feel like my therapist is online shopping while I’m telling them my deepest secrets
I’m in SF but my therapist is in San Diego, but I was previously working with a therapist who specialized in birth trauma early in the pandemic and we also did that via zoom. Neither one ever came off as doing anything but being fully engaged with me.
My therapist just started offering in person sessions. I definitely prefer it over video, makes a huge difference. I’d imagine some providers are in office and some still aren’t. You may have to call around.
In person
All zoom. One of my therapists is overseas

I've just been doing it on zoom through Teladoc or Doctor on Demand since the pandemic...it's so convenient to not have to drive anywhere. Don't see a difference of being in person tbh
Zoom. It’s so much easier to squeeze in the day between meetings and comfort of my own home. I also feel there’s less of that awkwardness at the beginning of session where you’re settling in and we just dive in to the session.
I just started and it’s half and half. One week online, one week in the office (haven’t gone in yet, that’s just starting up). I resisted for a long time bc I didn’t want to do virtual but it isn’t that bad. The in office week lined up w the weeks I have Friday off so it’ll be easy for me to take the extra time to drive in.
I just started therapy for the first time, it's on zoom, I live alone, I do somewhat of a light ritual of turning off my phone, closing all other laptop apps, blocking interruptions/notifications etc, setting mood lighting and getting into focus
And it's going well for me
Tried therapy for the first time on Better Help and they offer texting back and forth on an ongoing basis and 1 live video session on the platform (so online video, but not specifically on Zoom)
... Didnt feel right to be pouring my heart out to a computer screen. It was weird transitioning out of the sessions once it's over, so I've stopped future sessions.
Maybe once this is all over I'd try in person.
Zoom but they plan to offer in person sessions soon. I don’t feel the need to go back in person though.
