Welcome San Diego fishies! 🐟
Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Dallas - no state income tax, more affordable rent than the other cities, great night life, good weather 9 months out of the year (July-Sept is miserably hot... but then again pools and lakes are abundant). Also, if Austin is a choice, it’s a fantastic city (music, food, outdoorsy activities).
“Smoke shows, land whales and female talent” men are disgusting !
EY1 must have rented a closet in someone else’s bedroom with a 1/2 hour timeshare on a half bath for $1200/mo in walking range of 560 Mission.
I’m a huge car guy and live in Chicago. Plenty of opportunity and an apartment with a parking space in an awesome part of the city will run 1,500 for a very solid 1 bed. Move here and enjoy the traffic on 94! (Kidding, we have some good driving roads)
😂 ok dating life will probably be worse for you but the city is still tons of fun!
P3 - how is the affordability of Denver at senior level
NYC - hands down. If you can afford it
It really doesn’t make life all that horrible. Unless you have some form of debt this is way overrated. You may not save as much, but you certainly have enough to have fun if you so choose
Just ditch the car and use uber in SF. Car is needed for San Jose for sure, but lots of space to park so no biggie.
Also the girls here are smoke shows, so I’m not sure where that garbage statement is coming from
Oh and answering OPs comment on transportation: San Jose is a different story, I’d definitely recommend a car. But absolutely no need for one in SF. 5 years without a car, doing just fine. I rent a car for the weekend when I wanna do excursions (~$100/weekend)
Denver or Dallas are at least a bit affordable .
San Francisco is a very expensive dirty city. NYC or Dallas
Doesn’t get any dirtier than NYC. That city should be avoided at all costs
NYC!!!
Denver!
Frisco...
@KPMG OP not necessarily. I had a friend from Texas interview at PwC LA. Her inflation difference was 8% (and we all know LA is way more expensive than 1.08x Texas COL). She tried to negotiate (lol I know) and the recruiter said the demand from students for offices in high COL cities was high, so they didn’t have to match salaries after adjusting for COL.
Who cares if OP mentioned it or not. It’s a fair assumption considering straight would be the majority. I don’t think anyone meant offense to gays. Christ
Chicago or SF! Super biased cause I moved to Chicago two years ago but I can’t imagine myself ever leaving. If I did, it’d be for SF though.
EY1 lives Sante Fe not San Francisco.
Lol you guys aren’t too far off.. 1 BR @ $2300; usually converted the living room otherwise splitting with whoever I’m dating
