I’m 26 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my leave. I live in NJ and work at PwC, any fishes know the policy for NJ and PwC? The leave center has not been much help and I want to plan NOW not like 60 days before. I was told NJ gets two weeks before due date and PwC gives you two weeks as well.

Urgh. Old people and their worrying. Travel is only not recommended after 35 weeks or something like that. If I really had to dig on where you should be cautious, I guess maybe what you eat - like anything that could possibly carry listeria or bacteria or whatever. Like maybe don’t even have ice in your drink. But yeah. You’ll be fine. Congrats!
Your mom needs to chill out - she sounds like a lunatic. Take your vacation and enjoy!
I travel regularly for work, and I flew every month until I was 30 weeks. My doctor said there was no issue, but it depends on how things are going with the pregnancy. But when I was around 12 weeks, flying intensified my morning sickness and triggered motion sickness (which isn't typically an issue for me). I would suggest bringing meds and ginger candy.
I flew regularly from 7 weeks through 26 weeks for both personal and business… would have gone longer but client wasn’t requiring travel again while I was pregnant. My longest personal flight was at 10 weeks from east coast to Whistler so not exactly a short trip
Follow your doc. I traveled often in first tri and up to 30weeks. It was uncomfortable but that’s a personal thing, not a risk thing. Drink water and wear compression socks if you’re worried. But go travel. This is the easiest to travel it’s ever going to be again! Bon voyage!
Do your best not to get “infected” by your mother’s panic. Her worries are unnecessary. The only real risk of flying during pregnancy is the additional radiation exposure at higher elevation, but it’s such low levels you’d have to be a pilot or flight attendant to fly enough to worry about it.

Yes, I flew for work a few times between 12 and 20 weeks and again for my babymoon to Hawaii at 24 weeks, all with my doctor’s blessing and no issue.
My doctor said to stay hydrated, to stretch my legs by going up on my toes periodically while sitting, and every 3 hours to walk up and down the aisle (all just to reduce the risk of blood clots).
I was a high risk pregnancy (both times) and flew for work until around week 30/31 in both pregnancies with no issues. If your doctor clears you, you’re fine.
I’d recommend standing up every hour of air travel and walking around for blood circulation (you’re more likely to clot while flying and pregnant); my doctor also recommended baby aspirin while flying.
My OB told me flying until 35 weeks is okay. Definitely was flying for work until then.
I traveled almost every other week either cross-country or international until my last trip at 34 weeks which was international. It’s fine
There isn’t anything wrong with traveling at this point unless you have been advised by your doctor due to some kind of complication. If it were me I would just avoid any areas where Zika is endemic personally. (Also don’t forget that Zika can be transmitted sexually from your husband if he were to pick it up).
I traveled internationally (7+ hours) for work at 9 weeks, ~13 weeks and ~31 weeks. I am a fertility patient and technically “high risk” due to my age at the time (38 almost 39).
I felt great.
Wear some compression socks and call it a day!
I was a high risk pregnancy and in the OB office every week for checkups of some form - and I was still ok to fly until 28 weeks. And even then she only was cautious because my client was across the country, a shorter flight probably would have been ok.
My husband and I flew to Columbia when I was around 12 weeks. No issues.
