If you’re not learning anything you should be able to pass pretty easily.

I took and passed my CFP several years ago and don’t remember much from the courses leading up to the test but I remember a lot from studying for the final exam. Different material and condensed so found it more useful.

I'm testing in March and have felt like I've learned a lot. If it truly is coming to you easily then schedule the exam sooner than later and get your mark man!

Hi all!
Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.

I have looked into getting SHRM certification. But should I go back to school and get my masters in Hr?

I’ve only ever done professional malpractice (legal, med mal, etc) and feel like those skills will not transfer as well if I had done transactional work. There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.

CFP study programs:

I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?

TIA
