I’m a jr litigation associate with many years of tech work pre law school. A former coworker has offered to submit my resume for a legal role at her company (also tech) basically doing contract and privacy work as well as other tasks relevant to my former work life. My current resume is full of litigation experience from law school, since my resume is written for applying to lit positions. On the one hand, it bolsters my legal experience. On the other, it’s not relevant to this role. Do I cut?

Don’t hide or change your experience. But write a short letter explaining why litigation helps you see around corners. A mentor who had been head of a large insurance company’s in-house department once told me litigation is where you learn the law. You deal with all the conceivable ways people come up with to make a claim. Understanding things from that perspective helps you anticipate weaknesses a non-litigator might not appreciate.

Morning all. I am looking for a favour/solid advice. I've been in the interview process for a dream role over the past month or so and just found out I didn't get the job after final round 🙃.

Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened during the past year searching. Looking for a SC level role within healthcare/public sector consulting firm. I know the job scene is a bit miserable currently but if anyone in the bowl is aware of a role I would love to have a chat.

I am looking to enter big law. I had a clerkship on a state Business Calendar and am a current first year litigation associate where I have prepared for a trial, taken and defended depositions, and have extensive motion writing practice in tech, business, and employment cases.
