Really struggling here... I'm hating my engagement right now because work is passed off to the client, they miss deadlines, and I complete all the work last minute to keep things on track.

My PL on the engagement says I should "take it back to the team" and say no. They say this is how to build trust, and that we should let them fail. Also, that I'm enabling them to be codependent.

I'm failing to understand how missing deployment dates and saying "not my job" to the client helps build trust?
