Chief
I wore chinos and a button down and noticed everyone else in polo's and jeans, a few brave souls in sports jerseys. This was for a team we were invested in as a sponsor though and sample size was small
Good jeans.
Nice shoes or dressy sneakers.
Polo or high quality tshirt.
Blazer (which you can take off if everyone is super casual or leave on if everyone is more dressed up. )
I’m guessing given it’s a Monday people will be going straight from work/office so keep that in mind.
you’re the client. business casual at most (lose the jacket) but if you are an actual fan of the team you can wear team apparel.
if you’re happy, they’re happy.
source: someone who goes to these things, and have hosted clients as well
Pro
Business casual is almost always safe.
But if you’re the “client”, I don’t see any reason why you have to dress up too much. Are any of your own bosses going?
Shorts, tight Tee, slug brews. Show up like a boss
They’re just gonna throw the shrimp away
It's a baseball game - if you actually are a fan and have a jersey I'm sure that would stand out the most....and get you invited back. Also, if they are hosting that means someone at top might also be a big fan. Also wear expensive jeans and nice shoes. Maybe a baseball cap too. If you are just going to mingle and know nothing about the team/game business casual...
Don’t forget to get absolutely ripped.
Chinos or jeans and a polo or dress shirt. Depends on what market you are in. If you’re in New York, probably chinos and a dress shirt. If you’re in Texas, nice jeans and a polo or dress shirt. Either way, it’s not a big deal. Just feel comfortable and be yourself.
Yeah, I used to wear boots every day. Not my jam anymore, but I still wear them occasionally for stuff like this. It would definitely be appropriate if I jeans and a polo or dress shirt to a box at a Rangers or Cowboys game.
Ask. I bet they want to go casual in team jerseys or polos as well.
Casual is fine at a sporting event. I would not wear anything revealing, too tight, ripped, torn, frayed, etc.
I'm going to add: don't pull an Elaine (from Seinfeld) and wear something like an Oriole cap at a Yankees game if they aren't playing the Orioles.
I was invited to a suite at an Illinois men's basketball and they were playing Marquette. I graduated from Marquette and so I wore Marquette gear, but got a "pass" since I went (also why I was invited). IMO I think it's weird if you're wearing the gear of a random non-related team FWIW at an event like that. So if you wear team gear, make sure it's relevant.
Jeans, shirt, blazer.
Jeans , polo
If you’re the client, YOU are in charge. Wear whatever you want. If you’re happy, then THEY’RE happy
