I’m in the final stages with a neo-bank and their Glassdoor is littered with people saying they got shamed for taking even a Friday off. They claim to have a generous unlimited PTO policy. Should I push for a guaranteed 15 days in the contract? Will that ruin things before I even start?

Question about PTO - my contract says 25 days but is this inclusive of any office shutdown over Christmas/New years (if there is one?). In Sydney office if that provides some context. Thanks!

Hello, I have accepted an offer at a competitor company and sent in my resignation letter. My start date is 5 weeks from now so I put in my end date 4 weeks from date letter was signed. The manager said I had to leave the job in 2 days and the company can only play 2 weeks of work. Is it normal how they do that?

I have an urgent situation that I need advice for: what job to take? I currently have 2 job offers. Offer A (Scientist 3): 70k with full benefits including 15 PTO days and 5k tuition assistance yearly. It was sent to me last Wednesday and yesterday they left me a voicemail asking for a decision at my earliest convenience. Offer B (Manager): 76k with full benefits minus tuition assistance and only 5 PTO days first year (15 days after). Both companies said they'd groom me to take management roles.

The older I get and the more I think about raising my own children, I keep thinking how can parents frame religious duties like fasting as something to look forward to. Currently interviewing for an Associate Partner role with New York Life. I have 15 years experience in financial services. What should I be asking for when it comes to salary. The range they give is $60k-$160k base, not including bonuses.
