Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

How bad is the attrition in your team/company?
Hi Fishes,
I am at a career standpoint where i am really confused what to do.
I have 4+ yoe in RPA .I really dont think its sustainable as a career .I am willing to learn and move into something different.
But what i am really confused is how would i manage to switch jobs without any prior experience?
I already earn 13-15 lpa,why would anyone offer me same level of package without experience?
People who do a successful career switch, please share your stories. In need of some motivation
I have completed HR discussion round they were asking about my LWD..I said it is officially 90 days.. so should I discuss with my present company manager about LWD before or after getting offer letter
PS: I will be released early as I am sitting idle in the project..one guy in the project got early release.

Consulting is maybe the most incestuous industry there is. People move back and forth between firms all the time.
Having said that, I’d make sure you don’t have any non-compete or NDAs that would impact this, and I’d be a little wary of going to the same client.
AFAIK, all IBMers sign non-compete agreements. Courts have generally held that non-competes are unenforceable except as they apply to proprietary information/trade secrets/etc.
Working on the same project but with a different company would likely fall into that category unless IBM explicitly gave you permission.
In a plot twist, it’s the client who actually asked D to hire me because he was planning to downsize/get rid of the Ibm team....
Go now and don’t look back
That’s quite a plot twist
@D3 You underestimate IBM's petty factor
I'm positive we have an entire offshore team committed to this
Working on the same project would almost definitely violate your non-compete.
Surprised nobody here has mentioned the obvious... and talk to D about it? If they are hiring you explicitly for that client they will likely know how to make sure you are legally able to do so
Just have them time it right. Join D and to bids and proposals for a week then start on the project after IBM is gone
You could move to D and work on a different project
Sounds like a good move buddy, do it
No brainer then...go
You should go and start a consulting soap opera.
Don't depend on legal advice from fishbowl regardless of how well-intentioned we all are
Let Deloitte legal deal with it, just be sure to tell them about any non competes you may have signed
D4 here with the real answer.
I would just be up front about it with IBM. Better offer, want to get into big four, yadda yadda. A non-compete only matters if they enforce it (an administrative pain) so if you’re forthright and honest it ups your chances of an amicable split.
Also - obviously make sure the offer is actually better.
At D I believe it’s you can’t work on a client within one year (or two or whatever) of separation, regardless of reason. Assuming it’s the same-ish elsewhere.
EY1 is correct. Go with Deloitte and let their legal team sort it out
Jump now. IBM GBS just cut 20% of staff, it's a sinking ship.
