Will the master degree offered through this course will be accepted by the education evaluation institute WES? If yes, is it considered as equivalent to Canadian Masters degree? Go for PMP as its widely accepted and recognized across all industries. With few years of experience it should not be very hard as you just need to focus for couple of months studying the principles and framework outlined by PMI and not apply your ‘business’ knowledge as that’s where they’ll test you. Also make sure you don’t go for correct ‘sounding’ answer options and instead eliminate the wrong ones. Good luck
PMP.
Capm is a weaker option so you should invest in the incremental effort to go PMP.
Re: how easy...depends on a few things:
1) do you have any formal PM training? If not, do the readiness courses (should probably do them anyway)
2) are you a good PM? Is it something that comes naturally for you (know a lot of people who go for PMP but aren't great PMs so its challenging for them to commit)
3) just make sure you meet the experience criteria
I’ve been in PMO/project PM roles for a few years. I enjoy it and am good enough/seems it comes naturally. Have read books on it etc. Have found my training results in better outcomes than the client side Credentialed PMPs I’m working with which don’t give me much faith in the designation. Experience criteria is a bit tougher.
