I’m trying to decide to stay with Schwab as a CRS or accept a offer with CACI as a business systems analyst. The pay is the same Schwab is about 3k more but in MA and CACI is in NH where my gf and friends are. Ideally want to start my own company or get into VC or PE but having trouble being a new grad. Thinking this position might give me more skills and look better on a resume. Currently am client facing and doing ops. This role would be on a navy shipyard and doing data analytics. Any advice?

I recently raised my rates after being told I wasn’t charging enough on here. Both of my main clients have already responded saying they either can’t pay me my new rate ($125/hour with 15 years experience) or are interested in “talking further.” So naturally I’m starting to freak out a little bit. Gay man who works in a large org that is big on diversity and inclusion efforts. I’d say about 50-60% of people (at all levels, across all age groups and races) list their gender pronouns in email signature. I list mine because I see it as a way to show support for colleagues who may not be cisgender. If anyone else works in the same type of environment, do you infer anything about colleagues who choose not to list their gender pronouns? (such as they are homo/trans phobic?)

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!
