How do you keep your endurance up while interviewing at multiple places?
I went from hearing nothing for months to having 4-8 interviews a week. It’s a great problem to have, even if it’s been different kinds of draining when applying for jobs vs. prepping for and going through interviews.

I have 11 years of Cognos/Informatica support and has done a course on Data science.During course I have worked on academic projects on regression/classification,time series and little bit NLP. Is the knowledge enough to switch to any company related to Data Science or need to get exposure on real time project?
I have to wait for sometime to get a Data Science project in my company(around 5 months) but my salary is low.
Is the knowledge gained from course is enough to switch?

Hi all. I’m a ux designer at a small company and need to recruit a few people for usability testing. Our target demographic is people over the age of 35 who’ve been in leaderships positions. If you’re interested I’ll send the link- the test will take about 15-30 minutes and pays 20$. No human interaction required.

Prepping for a CRO interview with the CEO of a smaller tech company (approx 70 employees) experiencing explosive growth. They want someone to run sales, alliances, & marketing, with heavy influence around product development so not really a traditional CRO role. Working on prep and curious if anyone has any ideas around questions I should be prepared to answer? Questions I should ask? Seems like an interesting role that should be a good fit with my background. Other thoughts?

How people get on the board of directors position, I see few paid Recrutment firms do they really help or are those more of scam? One opportunities I get to talk with company the age becomes factor (~38), is it too young to get on BOD? I’m currently considering an offer and am finding that all online compensation benchmarking is falling flat in terms of understanding how I should be looking at comp for this role. I’d value your advice on how to access cleaner comp data and/or how you might look at comp for this role: Chief People Officer for a $2.5BIL revenue ($150MIL net income) global organization. 50,000 employees. USA based. Looking for Total Comp and cash targets/benchmarks.

I set up a call today with an even more senior leader (I am an EVP) and asked him for advice on navigating the political waters of our global workplace. He was so honest and helpful it was .....amazing. I don't think I expected it to be so genuinely helpful. I highly suggest you reach above for advice if needed. Sometimes it works!

Does anyone have experience sitting on boards? I’m interested in doing this at some point in my career, but am not sure how to get started and what’s typically required (both qualifications and work involved)

Does anyone have recommendations on an approach to get frequent feedback on employee sentiment across your teams?

I lead a global team of ~70 and growing. Most of the team is deployed to major company initiatives and pressure is high. We do big annual employee surveys, but I'm looking for good ways to get more regular feedback at scale.

Time to ask: anyone have a solid list of recruiters who work with agencies? Looking to move my talents (biz dev/new business) to a new shop.

I appreciate your help in advance if possible!

Our company is going through a major transformation and there is quite a bit of resistance due to uncertainty and lots of broken promises. Are there any books you would recommend on how to change corporate culture and help employees adapt to change?

How do you let go of the need to be liked by subordinates? I have a people pleasing streak.

I am a Senior Project Manager for a custom estate builder. We build homes over $50mm in construction costs for the ultra wealthy. I have been with this firm for 15 years and make $350K annual. There is only one partner and the sole proprietor who is essentially retired. They split ~$5MM in profits per year. I have reached the limit on title / career progression in my company - nowhere upwards to go. I highly doubt they will ever partner anyone else into the business. Do I leave?

Working my way up the corporate ladder. I have so many thoughts on leadership and want to initiate changes in the departments I work with. But at this level it's so difficult. Ppl are so resistant to change.

My key learning thus far in my career: Noone gives a shit about your ideas unless you're a head honcho. Real change is brought about from a position of authority.

What things have direct reports done that have impressed you? I have one - one of my managers just sent me an extremely perfect mid year review with actions milestone outcomes - bottle necks. So simple and clear to measure success for end of Q4. Thank you 🙏 hiring god who found this employee.

I took the role I am in about a year ago and it just has not been what was promised and a huge step back. I have found a good place and am content but not overly happy with my place in the company. A smaller competitor reached out for a vp position that is a huge step up responsibility wise. There would be a pay raise but not huge so money is not the motivator here. Is this crazy to seriously consider? I hate to burn bridges. I have been told I am on the partner fast track. Thoughts? Advice?

Not sure where to put this, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts here on what smaller Saas companies should expect or prepare for this economic downturn.
