Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?
Can I talk with my manager ?
Are they able to hike the salary of what VMware is offering? Please suggest me.

Compared to where? Accenture Analyst maps to analyst at Avanade, consultant to Consultant. Levels diverge more as one moves up, associate manager at ACN maps to Sr Consultant at Avanade, then Manager at ACN maps to manager or group manager at Avanade. The Sr manager and director mappings are wonky, then an MD is an Exec/VP role.
Can’t speak to other firms.
Consultant in Avanade maps to Consultant in Accenture. It’s career level 9.
First year entry level analyst from undergrad come in at career level 11. If you want proof this is this is the case you can feel free to DM me.
Yes. But be careful. I had a recruiter contact me and they never called back or provide and update. That in itself is telling. At Deloitte I’ve never heard recruiters treating candidates like this. If this is what they do to candidates when they need to sell the role and the organization to a prospect guess how they might be treating employees!!
I can’t speak for the recruiting part but your first statement is not true. It doesn’t not map to first year analyst.
No, college hires get in at Analyst level, then we have Sr. Analyst, then Consultant, Sr. Cons, Manager, Gr. Manager...
Is there a managing consultant role?
I’ve also heard that the majority of projects are sub contracted as part of larger ACN projects, any truth to this?
