Concept:

Government were possible and practical provides all services on a fee basis.

For individuals and organizations fees will be accrued against credit line

Interest rate on the line set to inflation rate.

Instead of paying taxes the traditional way, witholdings will be installment payments to cover line.

Max monthly burden will be the taxable rate of income

Goal: Consuming less government resources leads to less taxes. Those who use more, accrue more against credit line

Any tax accountants/attorneys in here? What would happen to the 401k of a foreign worker if they cannot longer maintain an immigration status and have to go back home? What about a ROTH 401k? Assuming they made after-tax contributions, would they still be able to take tax-free distributions if they are non-resident aliens for tax purposes?

Does anyone know the answer to this? - My first mortgage statement was generated on 11/2 with a due date of 12/1 and includes a month of interest based on the balance on 11/2. I made a principle only payment on 11/14 of $500 which was applied right away. Will the interest automatically recalc to reflect a lower outstanding balance for a portion of the month? My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?

I work in commercial real estate retail leasing. Current employer just increased base to $100k with avg. 20-35% bonus/commissions combined. Received offer to exclusively work for a tenant and help them open new locations. $115k base 10% bonus & also stock options. Remote work, lots of driving, similar job title. Its a VC funded startup & aggressively growing. I’ve never worked for a start up, so curious what everyone’s experiences are and any feedback would be super appreciated thank you!!
