Is it better to do an interview in person but outside with social distancing, masks, etc. or over Zoom?

Zoom -got me the job! To me facial expressions are key.

like

Are you the interviewer or the interviewee? If I was the interviewee and given a choice, I would first say “whatever you’re most comfortable with” and then if they still don’t make a choice, I’d say “let’s do zoom, just to be safe and so that we don’t have to shout through our masks and over a distance.”

like

100% in person if you can do it socially distanced without a mask (need to read facial expressions). Can more easily make connections, read body language, etc. I interviewed during the height of pandemic mania and made a point of physically coming in once it was clear the interviewing exec team was on the same page.

I have been working in SEA region last 4 years. I feel burned out. I have 10yoe, I have try to move to other country but I pretty much suck in LeetCode. I want to take some time off to unwind, finish some personal business, and really prepare for interviews. I would like to hear from you. Should I quit to my current manager(5th so far) or wait after mid year performance review, when a new boss will take over my team? I'm thinking on giving them 2 months notice period. By contract is 1.

Thanks

Hello hive mind. I am currently interviewing with three agencies. Pretty far along with two of them. One of the positions is a Jr. copywriter position while the other two are just for a copywriter. How important would it be to not have the “Jr” before the title? Personally, I don’t care about the title, but wonder about future employer’s?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)

Having a tough time getting a Product Manager interview. I have 3.5 YOE in technology implementations for a startup (my client). First 2.5 years were spent building my clients software, most recent year has been as a project manager for them. A lot of what I’ve done in last year overlaps ProdM responsibilities but I recognize it is a change. Am I reaching too much for a PM role? What are other roles I should consider to try to position myself to break into PM? Thank you for your help 🙏🏼

Told my expected CTC and she seemed a bit surprised but didn't negotiate and asked if I have any other offers? I asked when can I expected the OL, she said within a week but didn't take any documents. Can I expect the OL?

Seems like I can pull work from the whole discipline (merger clearance, civil lit, criminal) — should I spread myself across all of it to maximize my skillset/marketability?
