Is it worth calling in to ask if places are hiring even if they don't have anything open online? I've been desperately searching for over the past year, submitting applications to a lot of retail opportunities online only to be ghosted. Its getting so frustrating putting in all these little details online over and over again only to get no response. At this point, I feel like just ripping the band-aid off and calling in instead of wasting my time.

What is the best Change Management certification? I see Prosci everywhere but I recently learned about the one offered by Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP). My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?
