I can't see myself saying bro to a girl unless she's already reached bro status in which she's obvi v chill and doesn't care if I call her bro. However if ur slippin you can get bruh'd regardless of gender, ethnicity, or dietary preferences
But ye call ur girl bros sis, makes more sense anyway
Your statement is sexist because it implies that “bro status” for a girl means she’s chill and probably “not like other girls.” That implies bad things about “other girls” - get it? Don’t compliment a girl by putting down other girls. That’s not cool.
Women have to deal with “male” being the default gender all the time. It starts all the way back to childhood. You look at books or cartoons and they’ll have 5 guys and 1 token girl character - no one bats an eye. If it was 5 girls and 1 token guy, it would be strange (or it would be a show “for” girls).
If you’re a guy, would you like me calling you sis?
I call men “sis” but I’m a 23YO gay man and it is fairly commonplace to do some linguistic gender-bending with fam. This seems similar to the “dude” discussion; I would avoid calling anyone “bro” simply on account of it being a gendered word (if not to all, to most). I prefer gender-neutral language at work.

No, but guys is.
Bro isn’t, but BRUUUUUH is
I usually go with “dude” over “bro” for a gender neutral term.
What about the word “dude” — as a male, I call females dude too. Never stopped to think if maybe women don’t like this?
Oh girl 👀
OP asking the most important question of the day
Nah, bro.

Nah fam.
OP: Are you going to add some premises to your argument, bruh? 🤔
Nah bro
I don't think so. Never said "bro" to a woman, but I have used dude many times (not in a work setting, but between friends).
