I can't see myself saying bro to a girl unless she's already reached bro status in which she's obvi v chill and doesn't care if I call her bro. However if ur slippin you can get bruh'd regardless of gender, ethnicity, or dietary preferences
But ye call ur girl bros sis, makes more sense anyway
Your statement is sexist because it implies that “bro status” for a girl means she’s chill and probably “not like other girls.” That implies bad things about “other girls” - get it? Don’t compliment a girl by putting down other girls. That’s not cool.
Women have to deal with “male” being the default gender all the time. It starts all the way back to childhood. You look at books or cartoons and they’ll have 5 guys and 1 token girl character - no one bats an eye. If it was 5 girls and 1 token guy, it would be strange (or it would be a show “for” girls).
What is the gender neutral equivalent of bro/variations of bruh/dude?
Is Thang an acceptable interpretation? Asking for a friend
I would never call a woman bro, unless it’s a slip of the tongue or if I’m saying it indirectly to no one.
But I’ve seen some girls use dude gender-neutrally. Which makes me want to believe it is. Even if it is just out of social conditioning.
Yup i say bro/bruh all the time 😂for diff situations but its gender neutral imo
I'm from the west coast and used dude/bro as gender neutral. When moved to the east coast, girls seemed put off by me calling them dude/bro. Seems like a regional thing
