MSFT or AWS? As Tech Pre Sales and why?
Say you’re an Assurance Senior 3 and want to transfer soon as you hit Manager back to your hometown office. Should you secure the manager promotion at your current office first or go ahead and initiate the transfer at S3? I’m scared that they won’t accept me over their current S3s and so I think the safer bet is to make manager first then transfer. Deloitte EY PwC
Also, how desperate are firms for Managers these days? I know seniors and staff are in demand but I rarely hear about Managers.

Chase your dreams and always do what’s in your best interest. There’s a right way to put in notice etc, but staying because of that you may never leave. If it’s a bridge worth keeping maintained they will understand.
Not too soon! You need to look out for your career and if you’ve done good work and give appropriate notice (2 weeks) you will leave on good terms. Staffing is the organization’s problem to solve. Good luck and happy for you!
Always take the meeting and see where the opportunity takes you, especially for a dream job. Your current agency’s staffing isn’t your responsibility and if you leaving to pursue a dream opportunity burns bridges, they were already flimsy to start with! Your managers and team should want to see you succeed - whether it’s at your current position or somewhere else.
Thank you so much for this! I hope my managers are as understanding and supportive as I think they will be, if and when I put a notice in.
It's lovely and charming that you feel that way. Loyalty is underrated. However, it's your life, your career and your dream. One year is more than enough. Just give adequate and correct notice.
Tbh there never really is a good time to leave. As someone's who's been on a team where people have left for different jobs, I feel like people have typically been supportive and understanding when it does happen. If you leave/put in your 2 weeks, I would communicate closely with the team on what's most helpful as you transition out. Avoid suddenly just not doing any work during those last couple weeks bc people would definitely remember that!
Best of luck! I have seen cases where people just kinda peaced out lol but sounds like you'll be totally fine
I say go for it!
Fuck ‘em. They’d drop you like a sack of potatoes if it suited them.
This is true. Also, at your level, you don’t really have to worry about any significant bridges being built or burnt.
Just make sure the ink is dry on the first offer and then let it rip! Congrats dear.
100% take the opportunity. I spent too much time when I started worrying about what my team/boss at the time would think but at the end of the day no one will care more about you than YOU. You gotta go for it and do what’s best for you and your growth. You don’t owe them anything.
Tbh there is no loyalty in the advertisement world… put your 2 weeks in, work as if you didn’t, leave everything in a good place and you’ll be fine! Follow your dreams, it’s very common to jump around
Do it if the $$ is right
The money isn’t different (it’s still good), neither is the position :/
My biggest pull is it’s a way bigger shop than my current one though, with more opportunities for growth and most likely more resources
DO. IT. Your current agency will be fine and move on.
Don’t even HESITATE in doing this! I did the same thing coming from a small agency and it was the best move of my career. You learn so much more at large agencies and will then have the mobility to go pretty much anywhere. Only tip is that you should use your extra year of experience to try and leverage a higher salary offer.
Unless you have an equity incentive (rsus grants) to stay take the opportunity and the salary increase. Your current agency will replace you in 1-2 months time. Stay in touch with the folks you built a connection with. Good luck.

Now is a great time for you to explore different kinds of environments. Definitely pursue it and if you get an offer, weigh the benefits of each before you make a move - but do it for yourself and not for the company. You will hopefully be lucky enough to find good mentors, but you are the only one who will always have your best interest at heart.
If your current agency supports you, they will be excited for your opportunity. If they don’t, they will be annoyed but that’s on them. Do you.
There is no such thing as loyalty in the work space and they would drop you in an instant. You do you.
Do what’s best for YOU!
