I’ve had a fair amount of success in a couple of direct sales ventures, but I’ve ultimately never risen to the top because I’m not a great teambuilder. I’m trying to figure out how to pivot my career & make something from the skills I learned there, but I’m not really sure what that would look like because I never saw myself getting into sales in the first place. Bank clients- I know the chairman of a local but growing bank in my town. I want to reach out to market my firm and services, but I’m curious how I could be more specific in my discussions. I don’t want to say “I’m a transactional attorney” but I’d like to say “I could help with loan documents, UCC filings, etc.”. It’s the “etc.” I want to elaborate on. I have been a BDC Director and Manager and have 10+ years of experience training BD agents on process and software applications in the industry. I can't seem to get any traction with the vendors. I know that I cannot expect to start here in the US where I left my precious job as Sales Manager and I am fine with that.
But what can I demand in terms of salary (base/commission/boni) in the DC area? I am currently in the middle of an interview process and the company offered 60k base salary.
