McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).
Have my interview with UBS pune for Java 9 years experienced.
What would be the interview process and anything specific I should prepare for?
HR has said first will be pen and paper coding round, so what kind of problems can I expect?UBS Business Solutions (India) Private LimitedUBS Business Solutions (India) Private Limited

If that is the only error, it won't be an issue.
This is the only error and discrepancy… this has been my dream company and I’m literally broken down..
You’re absolutely fine. Background checks are helpful to reveal people bring dishonest about years of experience (eg someone purporting they have 10 years of experience on their resume but really only 5 years).
Accidentally having a typo on your background check won’t cause any issues at all. Worst case, HR will ask about the discrepancy. Most likely, they won’t care. You’re fine. Congrats on the new job!
Thank you so much… probably will lay low rather than contacting Hr to make a fuss about it.. this relieves me a lot

“Hey these dates didn’t check out”
“Whoops, it was [date], I entered them wrong”
“Thx”
It’s the wrong dates for an internship not a big deal at all.
You're overthinking it. Wouldn't worry about it
I'd ignore it and just go enjoy your weekend.
Calm down lol
So would it be okay if I don’t contact the Hr and lay low?..
Thank you everyone for the thoughtful remarks!
I guess I was a little anxious as this was a dream role that I’ve been hoping for.
I guess I will just stay low and wait for my background check to clear - can’t wait the day I give my 2 weeks notice 😊
Please relax, dang

When there are mismatches on a background check, they have to provide you with the information and give you the opportunity to prove the information is correct or correct the error. If they flag it, it will be at that time that you can correct it. Otherwise, if it’s really bothering you, just reach out to the background check company. It’s really automated, so don’t be surprised if you don’t hear back from them until your background is adjudicated.

Unless you clerked for the Supreme Court justice and you're an aspiring lawyer, no one puts much thought into your internship. You'll be fine.
When giving my availability for interviews out of college I accidentally wrote “am” instead of “pm” and the recruiter asked if I made a mistake. Thought I f’d it up and lost the opportunity. Really overthank it. Got the job. Not the exact same scenario but you’re fine.
Chill t f down

Is this comment contributing to a constructive dialogue? Anxiety is something many people struggle with. Telling someone to calm down, or the equivalent, has never helped.
Damn dude. That mistake is going to go in your permanent record!!!
Yo D1.
I sincerely want to know where the belittling is?
To better understand my context:
The looming “permanent record” has plagued (I.e. caused anxiety for) most, if not all, those in the US education system since the moment we entered. we all had an “oh shit” moment where we thought a small mistake/error/no-no would ruin our lives. But most things wont. So let’s laugh at this shared vulnerability and realize how much better our lives can be if we can release some of our stress. (I’m not going to go into any other ways to relieve stress or the difficulties some people have vs others due to trauma/illness/etc)
Ps: joking can’t fix everything but embracing humor (the “funny” and “unfunny”) can help a lil
I think you'll be OK. If you're not, dm me and I'll refer you to any company that I have a decent contact with.
Thank you.. :)

Chill OP, it’ll be fine
I put that I didnt graduate HS on my hireright background check because their system was bugging out and I still made it through (also messaged them though about it and they said all good). You’re good :)
Haha hireright!
Hireright couldn’t even get in touch with 3/5 internships from college. They had some window of time & number of attempts. After they could not get in touch, they gave up. I think you will be absolutely fine!
You will be okay! I know it could be nerve wrecking, reach out if it really bothers you, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
I did this too. It didn’t matter at all but they called my ex employer like 10 times which pissed me off
