Just finished negotiations with EY and got their “final offer” on Friday. I told the recruiter thank you and that I needed some time to think about it. I have interviews Wednesday with KPMG for a role I’m really interested in and I think it’s about 10-15k more. I told the KPMG recruiter I already have an offer so I need to move fast but I don’t know how to buy more time with EY.

Just don’t contact them , they’ll reach out to you again asking for your update
Say “hey something came up and I’m still looking over the details of the offer. Ultimately I’m very interested in the role and think it would be a great fit, so I hope to give you an answer here soon.”
I wouldn't just go somewhere based on comp. additionally, id be shocked if you couldn't negotiate 10-15k more from ey if you get a competing offer from KPMG.
I tried to negotiate with EY when I got my Deloitte offer. They weren’t receptive at all. I even brought in a senior manager I knew and was friends with. EY’s offer was $14k less on salary and $5k less on signing bonus. Might’ve not been able to negotiate because I was a campus hire tho. Idk. This was also almost 2 years ago before covid. Good luck!
Def ask for more $ and more time from EY. You hold the power here - congrats.
Which ever firm gets you will be lucky based on your focus on 10-15K…
Always negotiate worst that can happen is you get the same offer
If you ask EY for more money you may buy some more time. Or just straight up ask them for more time.
Ask for both 😂
“I’m going to need more time and/or more money.”
Pls fix offer
Good luck!!
