Empathies. Looks like EY tax in Philly has a couple jobs open at your level, assuming they're not ghost postings. I'm in a different region, but happy to pass on a referral link.
Just Big 4? GT has a great office in Philly. I left big 5 after 12 years and haven’t ever been happier. Happy to refer.
Could you please refer me
Good luck
Deloitte!
Why are they firing managers ? Were you not fully utilized ? underperforming ? Partners didn’t wanna work with you for whatever reason ? I’m a SM tax in KPMG and am worried about all these layoffs as i don’t understand what’s driving it at manager level . Seems to me like there is always a need at manager level
In my case, I was an experienced hire last summer. They paid premium on it, so I guess my salary is higher than my peers. Plus it’s my first busy season with PWC, it was under utilization as there was a lot admin work and learning for first year. But I did well in the past busy season and I was fully assigned until this November.
Would you like a referral to Plante Moran? Hiring in the private equity group. Not sure on remote but Detroit, Denver, chicago.
Why do people stat in Big 4 when there are so many better mid sized firms out there? I know schools push students towards Big 4, but once people are there, why stay? is it Stockholm Syndrome? I recommend you find a nice mid sized firm with a good culture.
M, you’re right.
Sorry to hear that. If you want to consider mid market, happy to provide a referral.
Hmm. Thats crazy. Sorry to hear. Did you at least get a good severance ?

Look at BT, we have a great office in Philly and a lax RTO policy.
I live in Montco and I have been here for 5 years and have yet to actually meet anyone in that office. We definitely have openings if you type in Baker Tilly careers, you should see it come up. I also came over from B4 and my office is across the street from my old one.
Check out CLA as well. I joined CLA 2 years ago...also PwC alum. DM me if you are interested to find out more.
