How much yearly hike can one expect at Société Générale ?
"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.
Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?
Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.
Thanks in advance.

I had 7 AM calls at my last project. There really is no way around this, unless you wanna get rolled off the project.
I have the same problem. Set the norm that it’s okay to be off video and just take the call from bed, go back to sleep after if you can
Stop normalizing unreasonable working hours.
🙄
I personally don’t think it’s reasonable, for many reasons. These are not standard working hours and we cannot tax our people just because they’re working from home. Some questions I’d ask:
- How necessary are daily calls?
- Why does it have to be 7am?
- What is your role on the call?
- Are they client calls or internal check-ins?
Our industry has a fetish with burning people out and hour-measuring contests. Try to take care of yourself, get enough sleep, and deliver quality work rather than being a drone roped into unnecessary calls.
Doesnt seem that bad imo -- especially compared to your teammates that may be in CST or west coast!
Additionally, you're WFH too, correct?

Depends - What is the expectation of the 7am call? Do you have conflicting responsibilities (kids/dog/family members)? If not, its going to be hard to justify why you dont want to take a work call. Granted, 7am is a bit too early; my guess is the client is on a different time zone? Best to figure out why the call is at 7am and if there is nothing you can do about it, asking to be rolled off will look more negatively on you IMO
Shift working hours and log off “early” at a decent time
Assess and ask if it is really necessary for you to be on all the calls. Can you do your work or contribute just as well with a download from another attendee?
My colleague from the west coast has to join calls at 6 am and she is not complaining
7 am, I mean what if you lived on the west coast. I do 5am focus groups and interviews.
And then guess what I get to do APAC meetings on the same day because there is no one who can stay up late. SMH 🤦♂️
